Non-Resident PUBLIC Entrepreneur Program
Homeland Security and Defense Cohort Program Bench Marks
NPRE will come to the program with an idea, having been selected based primarily on concept and feasibility, and will use the 15 months to 1) refine the project or business plan; 2) identify and build partnerships with key stakeholders, 3) prototype; 4) and prepare for public launch. There will be numerous set opportunities for formal feedback and exposure.
In addition to the expectations and deliverables, participants can expect:
July - August 2023: Program announcement, application launch (US)
September 2023: First meeting. Program proposal refinement, partnering with US and network leaders (#1).
October 2023: Participation in HSEF as a HSEF Scholar, including leading a roundtable/working group to solicitation feedback on proposal from attendees including HSEG leadership. HSEF 2023 is a crucial launch for the cohort, providing participants with one on one and small group collaboration with some of the leading policy makers, industry innovators, and experts to make the most out of the 15-month program (#1).
November 2023: Feedback from HSEF to empower #NSGSCon meetings, pitches, and events (#1).
December 2023: #NSGSCon 2023 (#1).
January 2024: Cohort meeting, launch section #2.

March 2024: Halfway point. Cohort ‘Retreat’, (#2 and #3)

June 2024: Cohort meeting. (#3 and #4)

October 2024: HSEF 2024 pitch showcase, feedback (#4). 2023 fellows will present their solutions, their impact to date, and next steps on the main stage at HSEF 2024, can serve on panels and/or host roundtables or working groups on their project to continue their work. Selected proposals may have the opportunity to join HSEG as Term Members.
November 2024: Incorporate feedback (#4).
December 2024: #NSGSCon 2024 pitch showcase (#4).
January 2025: White paper, next steps (#4).
